Terms & Conditions
Effective October 8, 2026 · Version 2026-10-08-business
Operated by Dodec Consulting LLC
Backrow.social is operated by Dodec Consulting LLC ("Backrow," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms describe the agreement between you and the operator when you create an account or use member features. The User Agreement is part of these Terms.
At a Glance
This summary helps you find the main points. Read the full document below; the summary does not replace it.
- Member accounts are for adults 18 and older. Location access requires separate approval.
- You own your content. We receive only the permissions needed to operate Backrow.
- Choose profile visibility carefully and protect other people’s confidential information.
- Be respectful, avoid spam, and disclose commercial relationships.
- Events and marketplace transactions are arranged by members, not guaranteed by Backrow.
- We can moderate content and restrict accounts to protect the community. Your mandatory legal rights remain intact.
Your Agreement With Backrow
Read these Terms and the User Agreement before creating an account. The signup checkbox is your affirmative acceptance of both documents and your confirmation that you are at least 18. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use member features.
Publishing these documents does not create an acceptance record for an existing account. We may ask existing members to accept them before continued use of member features. You can save or print these pages for your records.
If you act for a church, employer, or other organization, you must have authority for anything you commit that organization to. Your membership does not by itself bind your organization or make Backrow its representative.
Eligibility & Location Membership
Member accounts are available only to people who are at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Backrow is not a service for children. Do not create an account for a child or allow someone else to use your account.
Our initial regional communities are for church staff and high-level volunteers. Vendors, integrators, podcasts, and companies may create business accounts and publish their own profiles without prior approval. Business accounts cannot join Locations or create Teams. They may submit resources or business listings to regional Locations for moderator review. Listing approval does not grant membership, private conversation access, or endorsement. An account or application does not guarantee Location access, a moderator assignment, or a rollout date.
Location Admins, Moderators, and Backrow’s team review requests under the applicable community rules. A regional Location and the staff-only Moderator Club have different access requirements. Approval is not a professional credential, background check, or endorsement.
Accounts & Security
Provide accurate information about your identity and community connection. Keep your email current, protect your password, and do not impersonate another person or share account credentials. A job title and a full bio are optional; do not invent qualifications to gain access.
You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not bypass access controls, scrape member information, interfere with the service, or try to access another person’s account or private messages.
Your Content & Our Limited License
You retain ownership of the posts, replies, photos, profile information, messages, listings, and resources you submit. You must own the material or have permission to use and share it, including any necessary permission from people pictured in it.
You grant Backrow a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, transmit, and make technical adjustments to that content solely to operate, secure, and provide the service. This includes showing content to its intended audience, sending enabled service notifications, and making backups. We may use service providers for those purposes.
This license is not ownership of your content and does not authorize using your name, likeness, or content in unrelated off-platform advertising without separate permission. It is subject to the visibility settings and access rules of the feature where you shared the content.
If content is removed, the license ends when it is no longer needed for the service, except for copies retained for backup, legal, security, or dispute purposes and content others previously received or lawfully shared. We cannot retrieve screenshots, downloaded files, or copies outside our control.
Data, Privacy & Visibility
We process the account details you provide, your profile and membership information, your submitted content, messages and recipients, preferences, applications, and service activity needed to run Backrow. Hosting and security systems may also process technical information such as IP addresses, device information, and request logs.
Backrow uses Supabase for account authentication and data, Render for hosting, and Resend for applicable transactional email. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. External links, embedded audio or video, and Google-hosted fonts may connect your browser to other providers under their own policies.
Authentication and some preferences or unfinished drafts use browser storage. Sign out on shared devices and avoid leaving sensitive drafts there. Account verification and recovery emails are service messages, not permission for unrelated marketing.
Public profiles and approved global resources can be viewed without an account and may be indexed or shared. Signed-in profiles are intended for signed-in members; Location-only profiles are intended for members who meet the shared-Location rules. Posts, events, listings, resources, and messages follow their own audience and access rules, not just your profile setting.
A restricted audience is not a guarantee of confidentiality. Recipients can copy content. Direct messages are not advertised as end-to-end encrypted; authorized operator or provider access may be necessary for service operation, security, legal obligations, or investigating a report. Do not send secrets, counseling records, payment credentials, or other highly sensitive information.
Review your profile visibility and notification settings before sharing. Contact the operator to request access, correction, account closure, or deletion of information. We may verify your identity. Retention depends on the service, security, backup, dispute, and legal needs involved; we do not promise immediate removal of every backup or previously shared copy. Rights required by applicable law remain available.
Community Conduct & Moderation
Follow the User Agreement and applicable law. Do not post unlawful material, harass or threaten people, exploit children, infringe intellectual property, disclose private information without permission, misrepresent your identity, distribute malware, or send spam.
Authorized staff may review applications and submitted resources, organize or pin conversations, remove content, and restrict membership. Global resource approval requires Backrow team review. Approval indicates permission to publish, not verification of accuracy or safety.
We may limit or suspend access for violations, security risks, or legal reasons. Where practical and safe, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact us for review. Urgent action may come first. Use blocking and reporting tools where available, or contact the operator; Backrow is not an emergency service.
Events & In-Person Connections
The event organizer is responsible for accurate details, permissions, venue arrangements, accessibility information, cancellations, and any charges. Going or Interested status is not a ticket, payment, reservation, or safety guarantee unless the organizer explicitly states otherwise.
Use your own judgment about attending events and meeting other members. Verify arrangements directly with the organizer. Backrow does not guarantee an event or participant’s conduct. Event pages and discussions can remain available after an event ends; passing the event date does not automatically delete its history.
Marketplace & Third-Party Links
Marketplace listings are member-to-member offers. Buyers and sellers are responsible for ownership, condition, accurate descriptions, price, taxes, payment, shipping or pickup, refunds, and compliance with applicable law. Do not list stolen, counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe items.
Backrow does not provide escrow, payment processing, inspection, a product warranty, or a transaction guarantee through its current marketplace. Verify the other party and the item before paying or meeting. Do not share payment credentials in posts or messages.
External websites, media, podcasts, downloads, and payment links are operated by others. Their terms and privacy practices apply. A link, embed, listing, or approved resource is not an endorsement or a guarantee that it is accurate, safe, or suitable.
Partners, Sponsorships & Future Plans
Disclose paid, employment, affiliate, free-product, and other material commercial relationships clearly with the relevant recommendation or post. Do not present a promotion as an independent member recommendation or collect member contact lists for outreach.
A partner or sponsorship interest form joins a review queue, not a paid contract or a promise of platform access. Any future paid service or sponsorship arrangement will require its own disclosed terms before a commitment is made.
Future retreats and other growth plans are aspirations, not guaranteed benefits.
Information & Wellbeing
Member advice and resources are general information, not professional engineering, safety, medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. Verify technical work and safety decisions with appropriately qualified professionals.
Backrow encourages healthy relationships and sustainable work, but does not provide counseling, crisis intervention, or emergency monitoring. Contact local emergency services or a qualified professional when urgent help is needed.
Backrow Property & Copyright Concerns
Backrow’s branding, interface, and software remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not give you permission to impersonate Backrow, use its marks to suggest endorsement, or copy protected material without permission or another legal basis.
Send suspected copyright or other rights violations to the operator with the relevant URL, a description of the protected work or right, your contact information, and why the use is unauthorized. We may request additional information, remove or restrict material, and notify the person who submitted it where appropriate.
Service Availability & Legal Limits
We work to keep Backrow useful and available, but features can change, interruptions can occur, and content can be lost. Keep your own copy of important information. We do not promise uninterrupted service, specific connections, employment, sales, or community growth.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee member-generated content or third-party conduct.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from service interruptions or member-to-member activity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable protections for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, or other nonwaivable rights. This is not a release of every claim you may have.
Closing an Account & Reviewing Decisions
You may stop using Backrow at any time and contact us to request account closure or data deletion. Closing an account does not automatically remove every conversation another participant received or records retained for lawful reasons.
We may discontinue a feature or end access when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or operation of the service. Contact the operator if you believe a moderation or account decision was mistaken. Ownership, lawful retention, and provisions intended to address earlier activity can continue after access ends.
Updates, Disputes & Your Rights
Each document has an effective date and version. Material changes will be identified on the site or through an account notice, with new acceptance requested where required. New wording does not retroactively create consent for earlier activity. Future versions must not overwrite the wording associated with a recorded acceptance version.
Contact the operator first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. These Terms do not require binding arbitration, waive class actions, or choose a mandatory court or state law. Applicable law and mandatory consumer rights govern. You retain access to remedies required by law.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. These Terms and the incorporated User Agreement describe the member-service agreement; a separate expressly agreed partner contract can address its own subject matter.
